Memorial Day Night: Games Under the Light!

Picture
To christen the newly redone Kipper Field, home to Vinland Valley Soccer, and to kickoff Summer 2013, Vinland Valley Soccer will be hosting a sandlot/street soccer event on Memorial Day night, Monday, May 27th from 7:00-9:30 p.m. We will be bringing in light towers to light up the new field, have a quick skills session, break registered players up into teams and play a tournament. There will be two divisions, a Junior Division (ages 7-9 years) that will play 3v3 and a Senior Division (ages 9-12 years) that will be playing 6v6 including goalies. Cost will be $7.50 for all Vinland Valley Soccer Academy members and only $15 for non-Academy players registering.  CLICK HERE TO REGISTER!

What is Vinland Valley Soccer?

Players that attend Vinland Valley Soccer Association work on individual skills at a young age. The repetition of skill through games and activities during training help develop a confidence in the player.
Players also enjoy the team atmosphere and team bonding activities. When you sign up to play for VVSA, not only are you going to improve, but you are going to be part of a family and truly enjoy it!
There are four components to the Vinland Valley Soccer Association, the Recreational League, the Academy (a step above Recreational), the FC Academics (tournament teams) and the Skills Club.

The Vinland Valley FC Academics had a marvelous showing in the recent Leawood/KC Soccer Fest. The U9 Boys dominated the competition, never allowing a single goal on their way to the championship. The U11 Boys avenged an earlier loss in a come-from-behind shootout victory. And the U9 Girls stormed through their pool and nearly won Vinland's 3rd gold medal of the weekend before giving up two late goals and falling 2-3 in the final.
